The Temporary Refugee Program in Canada is for people who are trying to flee from their country due to persecution and want to take protection.
The Canadian government has introduced refugee protection programs. This system is comprised of 2 main parts:
Your case to come to Canada as a refugee and seek protection is finalized usually within a time period of 4 moths. Once you arrive, the province and territory you are allocated looks after you.
Furthermore, there is an income support for the refugee for up to 1 year or until they get stabilized. The government and private sponsors help provide the refugee basic needs; food, shelter and clothes.
The private sponsors, if they sponsor any refugee take care of his finances and emotional support.
